Working with a brand like Mejuri was a new experience for me, I’ve never had a partnership before. Never been asked to post photos of an item, or gifted an item — so it was new. For those of you who don’t know Mejuri, they’re a fine jewelry company with a pretty affordable selection, especially for the quality.
Why Mejuri?
Mejuri is definitely a mood — minimalism is everywhere, especially in jewelry. They have stunning minimal pieces that are affordable (under $100) without looking cheap. The thin. gold bracelets, earrings, and rings are a dainty rage. Personally, I’ve been wearing the croissant earrings almost everyday, if you were to check my. IG stories 9/10 times I have them on.
Creating Content
Creating content for a brand can sometimes be challenging if you don’t know the brand too well. Mejuri does a great job at their Instagram feed — you really get a sense of their style. I added a twist of my own personality to my posts, but it was still something new. I did, however, have a lot of fun creating!
Don’t stress — some brand send out PDF guidelines to help. Mejuri sent one with creative inspo + ideas to help.
How Did I contact them?
Always check the brand’s websites for any ambassador emails/general contact. I emailed Mejuri a few months back, but they didn’t have anything at the time. Fast forward to now, Mejuri reached out to me. They emailed me an offer to work together, with a portal link allowing me to select which item I wanted.
First Impressions Matter
Our partnership required (1) Instagram post — I posted 3. Why? Because first time working with a brand is the best opportunity to show my potential. This is a lesson I learned when I started interning during my undergrad years. A little extra effort can go a long way! After I submitted the content, they immediatley reached out with another opportunity.
