Friendsgiving Table Decor
An Affordable Thanksgiving Table
An attempt at “high style, low budget” using items I could find on hand to create a last-minute Friendsgiving dinner table. If there is one time of year I like to take the time to create a tables it’s THE HOLIDAYS, aka Thanksgiving and Christmas! So when my budget and time is tight, I make use of what I have to the best I can. Using apples and lemons (some from apple picking) I went for a “gatherings” aesthetic.
I have been obsessed with my matte black plates, but this can be done with any plate color. Just stack them up and place utensils.
The Line-Up
Simple, easy-to-find items to create an affordable table spread ready for a Friendsgiving table.
Pampas Grass
Apples + Lemons
The Set-Up
First things first, set up the place mats, plates, utensils, etc… and make sure it all fits on the table. I love layers for the holidays, I always think more is more, so I layer up on plates and the number of utensils.
If I had more time, I would have added napkins with a personalized card!
The burlap runner is the “centerpiece” of the table, where I placed the garland leaves across it. I put the pampas grass stems from my yard (it can be any fall florals) into the milk jugs and placed them across the table. Then mixing the different colored apples + lemons throughout the burlap runner.
To mix it up a bit I added some random decor — candle holders and tea candles. Some marble bowls holding table salt and metallic coasters.
Use metallic to add extra sparkle to a table that’s missing “something”.
